Me, I'm lying in a dark room with a cold cloth, clutching a bottle of Dr. Nostrum's SureFire, Garundamnteed Extra Potent CureAll For That What Pains You Elixir for this head ache.
I was on my very first party bus all afternoon yesterday, so I suspect my friends are currently clutching their cure-alls this morning. As group mom, I stopped drinking after the second winery and spent the rest of the drive dispensing water, so I have escaped the same fate.
Quiet weekend here. Mostly doing prep work, clearing a space so we can move our hopefully-to-be-next-rescue-cat into the house. It's hard to give them the necessary time in the garage. (And besides, we really need to put the car back inside before the winter rains show up. If they do.)
Janet, I feel your pain - literally. I had a monster headache all week. Gave up Friday and spent all afternoon in bed. Mine is almost gone today. Hope yours disappears as well.
Oh, no. I got my first migraine this pregnancy (hi, yes that's news) and I can't recommend the experience. Hope Her Grace the Duchess of Not-Now-Ssssh keeps you quiet company while you recover.
I'm hanging out with my mother, aka the Queen Mum of Getting IJ to Sleep, and cooking up a storm.
God I hope it is getting better by now. I don't get brain spikes too often but damn, they drop me like I was poleaxed.
I prefer Clark Stanley's Snake Oil. but it is hard to find these days. Traditional Chinese has some stuff that almost works too.
I am glad it didn't hit me today. I finished the bathroom, spread dookie-schmutz on the flat roof section of the house, planted out fall garden and Harry's number 4 garden.
Yes, I planted Henderson Lima Beans.
Congrats Sherry Have a pleasant Sunday evening, y'all.
I'm smiling! And now I'm gonna flip over the sand time because a thousand words cures a lot of ills, and I've had at least a thousand flitting about in my head the last couple days. Let's hope I get them in the right order.
I am not sick, this time around. Slow day today, but busy week ahead, hence why I'm currently making quick pickles to go with my peanut butter for my snack this week. Yum.
Love the comments to this post. All these reports of people being productive and creative and nurturing, surviving difficulties and forging ahead with projects.
Sherry and Brigid--- Wow, how exciting, congratulations to both of you!
As for me, I closed my eyes earlier for a quick 10-minute break from writing and woke up two hours later. But I did manage to have vividly disturbing dreams set [sort of] in my story world, so, yay me?
Adding a whispered "poor baby" to Janet. Hope the pain eases quickly and doesn't return, ever.

I'm so sorry *quietly whispered* because I too suffer those and they're horrible. Hoping it's gone soon.

It's beautifully sunny here in WI and I'm working on a book review while the laundry is going.
No power at my house Friday evening, when a tornado tore through part of town.

ReplyDeleteOh, migraines are monsters. I hope you're feeling better.
I gave up this morning and went back to bed also, so this day was not terribly productive.
