I had to make my husband come watch this, not just for the music but to see the audience as well. We lived and performed in Europe for many years, and the audiences there were always marvelous. I'm not knocking American crowds by any means, but we're much more reserved here. Did you see how many observers (those not in the choir) were singing along?
Not quite so striking, but rather neat, is a number of young people with Cells doing the first Bach Cello Suite prelude on the subway (well, a subway, I don't know which one, though somebody in the comments seems to indicate Paris?): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCu5HAEQ8RM
I've seen this one before, but had to watch it again. I love how it just keeps getting more and more delicious. There's one older woman, a few minutes in, with a look on her face that says, "oooooh, this is gonna be good!" Nice!
