Up my way, "Mom" is the standand for describing one's mother. One time, I went into the supermarket and told the bakery lady that it was my wife's bithday, but I want happy birthday Mom on it so it looks like it came from the kids. I finished the shopping and when I picked up the cake; Happy Birthday MOMMA. Unless your married to Loretta Lynn, it just doesn't work.
O.K. I have lurked on your blog forever, but finally have to tell you that pretty much all my favorite links (from author blogs to cake disasters) come from your site. Thanks.
Keep your comments succinct. Any comment that runs longer than 100 words is generally too long.
If you're commenting more than three times a day, it's too much.
Civility is enforced. Spelling/grammar mistakes may be pointed out ONLY in the blog post itself, not in any of the ensuing commenter's contributions.
If your comment doesn't show up, it's most likely that Blogger ate it. Try posting again using a GoogleID. (comment moderation is on only for older posts)
Now I know what happened to the cake I ordered while time traveling.
ReplyDeleteWow. We're gonna need more candles.
ReplyDeleteI still remember when 20001 seemed SO far away. And Still no flying cars. Pfft.
Adding to the comment above, I'm waiting for my jet pack and helpful household robot. Wasn't I supposed to have them by now?
