  6. Ha! Editors and literary critics have children too, you know....

(BTW, is the Query Shark going to chew any more chum any time soon?)

  7. Too true, especially when your parents don't read your chosen genres.

  10. That's too funny :D

Like a fellow commenter I am wondering about the query shark I have an almost finished story (three scenes to write that are already outlined/researched) that I need to start working on the query for. I should be finished with the book in two weeks but I'm waiting on some editing.

Is it too soon to send in a query to query shark and when is it okay? Can you send one in anytime?

I thought I had become more comfortable with a query after all the research and reading I've been doing. I've read all of your query sharks and as much as possible elsewhere.

However, as soon as I went to start it, my mind went blank, my heart raced and I became short of breath and no, it wasn't from excitement. Try, panic attack! I have a really good romantic thriller. I know this one is good - even great maybe. Yet, I can't seem to get the dang query started much less written. I don't get it.

I would love to send it in and have it disassembled. Maybe knowing it isn't my final draft will help me get pen to paper so to speak.

  12. That is awesome!

My mom asked me to email her some of the stuff I have been working on. I have sent my stuff to practically everyone I know (even some random stranger that wanted to be writing partners), but I am terrified to send it to my mom...(oh, and you).

  13. You know you've made it when people reference you in cartoon illustrations! Very Cool! Kudos :)
