If you’re looking for tips to win a sword fight with a polar bear, this is your store.

...and of course, I am!

I subscribe to the Publishing Perspectives daily email, and noted with interest their article on bookstores in Alaska.

Now all I have to do is find and lodge the GPS coordinates on my broom handle, and I'm off to investigate Title Wave!

  1. Pshaw!

Polar Bears are lousy at sword-fights. The always swing high, and don't have decent thumbs.

Enjoy Alaska, bring back oil and moose-steaks.

  2. A truly great bookstore. Very nice people and a great stock. I signed a bunch of books there during Bouchercon. There's a small branch in downtown and the main, big branch out on West Northern Lights Boulevard, which is where you want to go.

  3. Have a great time in the uppermost 50. I guarantee you'll have one. Former Gov. Palin may be deserving of ridicule, the place is amazing.

  4. Did you see the tweet I sent you w/the pic? If not, what are you waiting for? ;-)

Also, too bad dear old Sarah didn't spend much time reading. If she did, she might have learned how not to be a complete moron.

  5. Polar bears are all left-handed. Approach them from the other side and you've got a fighting chance.

I am so glad it was the reluctant reader Sarah Palin and not Alaska who was the aberration.
