AWOL again, dear readers

I'm reading a 160K biogoraphy, five years in the research and writing, that is now due in on an editorial deadline. The great new is that it's FANTASTIC.  The not so great news is I'm unable to do much of anything else till I finish.  I'd slated two days to read this, but when it arrived at 160K I knew I'd underestimated.

I plan to be back here on Thursday, with contest results. (anyone want to wager if I'll make that?)

In the meantime, here's Michael Seese's Allie.
This is Allie, a rescue dog, the day we got her a little over a year ago. She since has grown into that face, especially the ears. In fact, when she's feeling embarrassed, she folds them back, bearing a striking resemblance to Dobby the House Elf.

Allie!
Doing her Dobby look!

She looks incredibly intelligent and observant... I hope she is also a-muse-ing. A writer always needs that.

cheers!

Puppy! She is precious. Dobby-like indeed.

So whose biography is her majesty reading? I am so curious.

Cute dog!! I love her quizzical eyebrows.

Biography sounds most intriguing. Is the clue in the photo? You finally managed to get someone to spill the beans on Dobby?

Awww - Allie is adorable! Love the Dobby look. I picture her hoarding socks and tea towels in her bed :-)

What a dog to find as a rescue. I've long loved black mouthed dogs, they seem like a throwback to those old. wise cur dogs. Many great breeds have been bred from them.

I will reserve my comments about the dog (I'm not a dog person--sorry), but I will express my concern for Janet. Clearly she is prioritizing clients and interesting books over her blog and giving out free advice to people who have no contractual obligation to her. I mean... what's wrong with her?!

;)

What an adorable pooch!

Colin, your comment about not being a dog person reminds me of when we were talking to another exclusively-cat-lover. She said, "Everyone thinks their dog is the best." Then we showed her a photo of Echo. "Oh..." she replied, "I see what you mean." I think you just haven't met the right dog yet. :-)

Barbara: I've met a lot of dogs. Some of them have been fine and friendly. But I just don't warm to them. They are not my favorite animal. And that's all I have to say about that. :)

The biography you're editing sounds interesting, particularly so, as it has your full attention. Please keep us posted!

That you thought to post of a photo of someone's dog to keep us all sated is actually quite awesome. I'm a dog person and Allie looks like a wonderful addition to Seese's family. And her ears! Dobby, indeed.

Looking forward to whatever update you have, whenever you have time to post it.
