So, where are the contest results?



I got sucked into a word vortex this weekend, and have just now managed to claw my way out to solid ground. Please feel free to blame my clients for this.

    You have to watch those vortex's. They lurk in the oddest places.

    My dear Queen, I realise those of you in the US write your dates in a muddle - I am quite used to unscrambling them - but even I can't unravel 12/5/18. No posts until December? Or in Oz speak, until May?

    Back again having fetched multi-copies of Otter to calm the fretting Woodland Creatures who will be panicked at the thought of nearly a year without a post. Otter would make anyone smile.

    It's okay, we'll just hijack the place until you post again *wink*.

    Ha, I had no trouble deciphering that date because I've done the same thing this morning.

    It should be read as "January, wait, no, it's February already! How did that happen? I can't believe that January actually came to an end after 84 years..." the fifth, 2018.

    (Almost wrote that last bit as 1918. I should probably stay away from the really important tasks at work until the caffeine kicks in.)

    I actually watched the Superbowl last night! It's the one day a year I actually watch football (our friends have an annual party), and it was a good game.
