Or, if you're too busy, we can manage on our own. Anyone read any great books lately? :)

Hey KATHY, I'm workin' on Donna's DIXIE,(I'm hooked).
AND I read Colin's Short story TIME IN A BOTTLE. Croce fans will get the title . Having said that WOW, double WOW. Loved it.
Janet please let someone link it because I don't know about those things and I am so happy for Colin.

*palms forehead* I totally missed Colin's Croce connection! I saw him (Croce, not Colin) live in concert, set up in a big field. A musician and a poet. His death made me really sad.

I loved Jim Croce. Bad Leroy Brown was among first songs I learned to play on guitar. A great singer/songwriter lost too soon. And Colin's story - still wow. Gosh, bang, wow!

And no worries, my queen- I forget to post to my blog for weeks at a time. :/ I should get a cat to help me.

2Ns, Kathy, Elise: Thanks! :D :D (yeah, still grinning). If people want to read the story, I posted an article on my blog yesterday that has a link and some background.

There is a book that releases tomorrow I'm looking forward to: FOREST OF A THOUSAND LANTERNS, the debut novel of my blog friend from a few years ago, Julie Dao. Not usually the kind of story I pick off the shelf, but Julie and I used to hang around some of the same YA haunts back when I was writing YA. I knew back then she was a phenomenal writer with a very creative imagination. That she's being published tomorrow is, in my view, simply one of life's inevitabilities. :)

I don't know what Janet was going to do today, but this is fun! :D
