*whispers* Saw on Twitter that you have a killer sinus headache. I hope it clears up soon! In the meantime, here's a video of kittens and puppies.(make sure your volume is turned down before playing)

Go down to the very very bottom of the ocean, where it's dark and cool and nothing else lives. Snuggle into the sand and only come back up when you need to feed.

We'll wait.

Feel better!

I am also in a terribly headache laden place, but mine has to do with this cold...thing. Or maybe lack of caffeine. The caffeine I can fix. Whatever the rest of my head is doing, though...

(I'll check back later!)

After a week with no internet the first thing I did was catch up on the Reef. Looks like I missed some great discussions. It's always a thrill to be mentioned in the WiR from last Sunday. I hope Thriller Fest was the best ever.

More so I hope QOTKU feels better. A good chiropracter can do wonders.

Goes to medicine cabinet.

Rummages around and pulls out some decongestant, Imitrex, and naproxen.

Shuffles into unfamiliar kitchen and swipes table napkins from table.

Opens freezer.

Drat. No corn; no peas. Sighs and plunders drawers for Ziploc bags. Aha! Returns to freezer; entraps ice cubes; adds a bit of cold water; imprisons the lot with one quick swipe - and then repeats the measure with an outer bag to prevent leaks.

Returns to room.

Part Two as Demanded by Asinine iPhone

Sets meds on bedside table with incidental glass of water.

Closes shades.

Retrieves soft earplugs from large bell jar labeled "Soft Earplugs Meant Only For The Queen; Noncompliance Will Result In Blacklisting, Exile to Carkoon's Tenth Ring, and SHUNNING FROM THE SHARKBITES' SHOALS!!! BEWARE!!!

Part Three as Demanded by Nearly Worthless iPhone!:

Hurls iPhone out the window.

Unsatisfying crash barely audible.

Closes window, resolving to drive over phone later.

Draws shades; places earplugs on bedside table.

Picks up cat and sets it on bed, where it curls up.

Clears throat.

Soft kitty, warm kitty...

Feel better soon, Janet.

I am so sorry.

If you are into homeopathic remedies there is some stuff called Sinusalia by Borion that does a wonderful job of opening your sinus passages and making a sinus headache seem less debilitating.

Hope it passes quickly.

Get on a train and head to the veterinary conference in Boston. I confess, I don't know much about shark health, but there has to be someone here who does. Hope you feel better soon !

aww...sorry to hear this. Maybe a cold toddy? Or a hot toddy. I'm flexible. Feel better soon.

Oh, yuck. Sick on a Sunday; that seems so unfair. Drink a warm Ricola tea and feel better soon.

Sinus rinse is gross but the only thing that made my sinus infection feel better a few years ago. Temporary relief but better than nothing. None of that over the counter stuff ever touched it. Feel better.

Timothy Lowe is right.

A Neti pot is the fangled thing you need. Most come with a saline rinse - if you can just get over the idea of something going in one dongle and out the other. It's a bangle up fix.

Just be sure you boil the water in the microwave, then cool it before adding the saline. Boiling kills the microscopic organisms in the water that can be very bad if ingested through the nose.

When I said gross, I meant gross. But it works. It's funny how many gross things do.

Uowhohh, me too. I only had one glass of wine last night. Okay . . . it was one of those 26 oz. ones.

Oh boy, this must be a doosy! Get better soon Janet!

To my fellow carkoonians, I swear the weather patterns in Minnesota are playing the copycat game... Our air conditioners are just not prepared to handle this level of heat and humidity... 88 degrees? What am I, in the desert?

All y'all offering hugs are far braver souls than I. Have you not heard the rumours about what happens to those who try to hug The Shark? I'm waiting to test it in person.

Wonder how she feels about "poor baby" and "bless your heart" and "there, there, now" accompanied by pats on the head. I'd offer to sing a soft and sweet lullaby, but it appears she's already in pain.

*tiptoes out of room*
*switches off the light*
*closes door gently*

Poor baby. Get some rest.

I feel ya.

I, too, am sick this weekend. My topic of joy: stomach flu. Am very disappointed, as I was really hoping to participate in the contest. Alas. maybe next time.

Verification--the first time I get one, it's about food, the last thing I need.
