I'm most interested in who will play John Deveril. I remember thinking when I first started this book that the narrator didn't need warning from the future to know that he was about to take on the father-in-law from hell.
I suppose it depends on whether the screenwriter wrote him for laughs (Alec Baldwin, Jeff Bridges) or not (Fred Thompson, if he'd do it).
