Oh man, I'm so tired of winter!

I'm going to start signing clients based on their country code now.

These were taken in Baja; that clicking sound you here hear (oooops!!) is me dialing in the GPS coordinates on my broom

My Beloved Florida is the only state in the Union without snow, so y'all come on down...
...and bring your wallets.

So you're saying that when I do get ready to query you at long last, I should add that I'm from the sunny South, can cook my a$$ off and that the agent who takes me on is welcome to visit at anytime? ;)

Guess you wouldn't be interested in signing me then- I'm from Canada and there is literally an igloo on my front lawn right now. LOL.
Thanks for the pics, though. We can all use some sun dreams.

Oh god yes, I could use a vacation to a sunny destination! Thank you Janet for posting those pictures, they're quite good and unexpected motivation!

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant, I say!

I live in southern Montana, but they've had record snowfall in northern Montana. This picture is very telling.

Darn. I guess I'd better stop querying from Butte, Montana. :)

You've had a very trying winter in the Northeast. I hope it warms up for you soon.

It's beautiful here in South Florida. Sometimes the temperature drops to the 50s, but the afternoon usually brings 70s.

Hey Florida up here in BC (yep Canada) we are snowless as well. So I guess you have your choice of coasts :P

*ya rubbing it in*

No sneaux down here in Louisiana. Probably a good thing. Cajuns driving on ice is never a smart idea.

Going to kill that groundhog that looks like a nutria rat!

I'm in Tucson. (cough cough)
A contract would be returned with a plane ticket. ;)

This is why I live on a sailboat.

(Although if you think having a bad address is annoying, try having no address...)

It just makes vacation seem that much further away. But, I can dream right?

I was ok with winter, until I slipped on some confounded ice yesterday! wah!

Nice Pictures

Sweet! I'm in! Come on down to Melbourne any time :). We've been having 40 degree C days.

My zip code is 99709... Fairbanks, Alaska... so as for as querying you... the results would be akin to being in the Mekong Delta with a grenade up my butt, surrounded by enemy soldiers and I ran out of bullets Tuesday of last month. My only hope now is Global Warming!

@Deep River: But you have gators.

@Janet: Thanks for the daydreams. (Sharks ride brooms?)

So much for my plans to continue to cross-border shop in the US from Canada.

Here's the positive side of up-north winters - I don't have many people who want to come up for a visit! That means more writing time and less kitchen duty.

Sister, you're certainly not the only one! I live in the "South" and I'm thinking now, "How much farther south do I have to go to avoid winter altogether?" I feel almost reptilian and in need of a heat lamp. (Palm trees wouldn't hurt either.)

Well, it was gorgeous here in Colorado until about a week ago.

I can't take full blame. But, I found my college professor/advisor, Ron Charles *waves*, on Twitter. I might have said something about it being in the 50's and 60's here while he was at Panera Bread because the electricity was out at his house.

Seems to have been the moment a huge cloud of arctic flatulence crept over the state.

Been cold and snowy ever since.

Damn karma.

Ahh...sharks and brooms...umm, I don't think so.

Sign me up Janet!
It was bright blue sky and in the mid 70s today; tomorrow's forecast is 77 and sunny.(No rotten fruit flung my way, please. We "pay" for this weather with 118 degree summers.)

Jen said...

Baja looks lovely! I am in Australia, so I'm not feeling your pain at all. However, we did cop a massive cyclone a week ago, so I think I'd prefer the snow! Can't complain though. The power is back on at last, and I still have a roof (unlike mot people a bit further north from me). Not many trees, and no fence, but a roof is the important thing!

Ooh, lucky for me then, it's bloody hot here right now ;)

'... that clicking sound you here ...' tsk, tsk.
That would never past a Shark in a query letter.

Janet Reid said...

oops. Thanks for the heads up on that one! Can I blame ....um...winter? No? Ok, lack of proofreading it is.

Unknown said...

Any time, Janet. I'm available for proofreading services ... very reasonable rates ;)

Lovely. I will meet you there.

Santa Barbara, California.

Mid-sixties.

Sunny.

A guest room with queen bed, a bottle of fine Scotch, and a box of Godiva.

A pool with lounging area; Kindles permitted.

Fine wine country just over San Marcos Pass.

Just saying . . .

How about a contest with five words ...

dessert (not desert)
mosquito

fjord

David said...

How 'bout a contest for the hottest-scenic-paradise write to boot you out of the winter blues?

ooooh! Fantastic pictures. I'm in the UK, right in the middle. Winter has been long, cold, grey and bleak.
*slumps over keyboard, back into hibernation*

We'd be happy to see you down here in the U.S. Virgin Islands. It's 85 this afternoon, but it's pretty much always 85. This morning it was down to 72. I had to turn the fan down to the low setting.

I've heard brooms sporting a star make winter more tolerable.

Mervat said...

I am from Sydney, Australia and we have had temperatures hovering around 115F. You can see an image of our temperature guage on my blog (www.thewritinginstinct.blogspot.com) and the numbers themselves are sure to make you toasty!

Sending a summery-warm, jasmine-scented breeze your way...

Mervat.

when all else fails, curl up under warm covers with [a] good book[s], a libation of your choice, turn off the phones/computers, and read/nap as the feelings hit you...

of course you awreddy know: too much wodka and you womit! ;)
