"A fantastic read from start to finish"

Have you overlooked THE BREACH?

John DeNardo at SF Signal did but when he did read it, well, you can read what he said right here.

Ooh, I get first comment! Yay! I write at night so it almost never happens (*insert happy dance here*).

Moving right along, I never would've pegged this for a sci-fi novel. DeNardo's review was spot-on: this has mainstream thriller written all over it.

Fortunately I have two Trekkies for parents so I'm all over this. I guess you really shouldn't judge a book by its cover after all.

It's so difficult when things fall between mainstream and SF. I wish there were a category just for novels like this.

It would be one small shelf labeled "Books Margaret wants to read."

Margaret there is a category for this kind of book. *clears throat* *sounds trumpet* NYT Bestseller!
(3 weeks on the extended list hurray!)

In all seriousness, you're quite right. *What* to call this is a never-finished discussion.

How about *Books You Want to Read*!

I just finished this book. It took me by the throat at the first sentence and didn't let go until the last. Actually, it didn't let go at all. I know now I'll be spending some Christmas money on Lee's GHOST COUNTRY.
