While polar bears are certainly worthy of your time and attention, I read somewhere that some Native Tribes in a remote region of the state have reported seeing herds of grazing Mastodons lately.
And there ain't much as cuddly as a Mastodon in rut.
Could you try to verify this story while you're in Saraska?
