I think it might have been the kitten question...

An astute reader of this blog sent me a link to the site that helps answer the question "what is your font"

I think the kitten question sealed my fate:

So, what's YOUR font??

I agree, it was the kitten question. I'm biergarten as well.

I scored Edwardian Script, because I'm a true romantic. They think.

This proves beyond doubt their evaluation system is totally broken.

I am Helvetica: reliable, boring, and a classic.

But they didn't have the answers I would have answered for most of the questions.

Last summer, I went to NYC for two weeks.
Where was Indiana Jones on the movies list?

See? I can be exciting...

Ah, I'm the rather boring (but "classic") Times New Roman.

Joyce Tremel said...

I'm Helvetica, too. Nothing like being told I'm boring.

Liana Brooks said...

I'm Helvetica too.... I think I was headed for Times New Roman, but I wear jeans and t-shirts now that I'm not in the office every day.

And I didn't roast the cat.

Dash it all! Foiled again!

Edwardian Script

Yeah, that sounds like me . . . NOT! Oh well, just another psychological test with questions that just don't really fit. Hmmmm, I wonder if any psychology student ever tried doing a psychology paper about these tests.

Well, I'm off to take the new kitten to the vet. Is 12 cats too many?

I'm Impact. I'm the freakin' LOLcats font.

JES said...

Yep, Helvetica here too.

Loved the questions and multiple choices at this one!

(But then, what would you expect dull, affable ol' Helvetica to say?)

Times New Roman here. But I kinda like the biergarten font ;)

I'm Mrs. Eaves.

"[I] enjoy the quiet, and don't understand why these kids have to be so darn loud. [I'm] a little fussy and a little old-fashioned, but [I've] got a big heart."

Cripes! I'm my grandmother!

Becky Mushko said...

I'm Mrs. Eaves. Yeah, it kind of fits me.

I'm a lover not a fighter, Edwardian Script for me but that's only when I'm not in writing mood.

Times New Roman snob here. *sniff*

Well, I never!

I'm Helvetica, too. But I could have added a few more answers to each question.

Susan Helene Gottfried said...

I am fontless; it won't acknowledge when I click on the link!

Bill Cameron said...

I reject this test! 8 of the 10 questions didn't have answers even close to what I would answer. And the other two were near misses as best.

I hereby declare I am whatever freaking font I wanna be, and if I wanna change it tomorrow, Mr. What-Font-Are-You-Test can suffer.

Sarah Jensen said...

Helvetica. But I agree with needing more answers. Not any were really me. I mean, I can come up with much better dates. And I'm married. :)

jill said...

Edwardian here, too. Helvectica is more likely, but many of the questions didn't have the right answer among the choices.

Alicia Gregoire said...

I'm impact. It's all the cat questions.

Pepper Smith said...

Helvetica. Though I have to admit, most of the questions had no answers that fit me, so I don't know what font I really am.

Stuart Neville said...

Like Mr. Cameron, there was a shortage of appropriate answers for the questions. Nevertheless, it appears I too am Impact. The slightly scary thing is, Impact does tend to be the font I want to come up with a quick and easy design.

I'm not sure how to feel about that.

Elissa M said...

TNR here. Maybe that's not bad for an aspiring author. I also found the answers to the questions nowhere near what I would really do, so this "test" is more than suspect.

Lydia Evans said...

Not fair! I come out biergarten, and I love kittens. I shall haughtily continue to view myself as chiller font.

ali said...

I also found that the answers weren't what I would really do. I got Helvecia...hum...am I that boring??...yikes

SWILUA said...

Helvetica.

but strangely proud of how boring I am. like, hell yes, Helvetica.

Sandra Cormier said...

Many of my answers weren't there. They say I'm Edwardian, which may be true, but I also think I have a bit of Comic Sans in me.

Cate Kariaxi said...

I was Courier...

The answers didn't really apply, so I grabbed the ones that came the closest.

Like the one about going to a fair. I do head straight over for the 4H barns to check out the animals. But I wouldn't be letting any free... that's just weird. :-)

And I just petted the kitten.

Cate Kariaxi said...

Oh forgot -

"You are Courier =

Like a typewriter-style font on a computer, you go proudly against the grain. You're not afraid to let your opinions be known, and for you, anything is better than being known as 'conventional'."

Pfft. That's not me! I'm VERY conventional. Most of the time.

Sha'el, Princess of Pixies said...

Well ... not that I actually answered the silly questions or anything ... but there is a font named "pixie." I'm sure that would be mine.

There is, however, no Goat font. Bill E. Goat is pouting. ... Oh ... he informs there there IS a font named "Electric Goat" and that it suits him to a "T."

Janet said...

I tried, but I couldn't answer any of the questions. I think my font hasn't been designed yet.

Anne-Marie said...

Times New Roman, but I had to settle on a lot of questions. That's not very snobby of me, I'm afraid.

Sha'el, Princess of Pixies said...

Okay, so I went back and actually answered the idiot questions, and apparently they do not assign pixie font.

I'm "Contrary." "Yes, you are contrary. you're unpredictable and you don't fit into a box. you're weird (I PROTEST!). you're refreshing. you're a total freak. (You'd have to ask my pet Knobby Kneed Scotsman about that) you're so misunderstood.

Amie Stuart said...

I'm with Bill...a lot of answer don't fit me. that said I got IMPACT! The preferred font of LOLCats everywhere. If it's not online it doesn't exist for me heeh.

Janet...did you choose turn on the oven? (KIDDING!)

BJ said...

What's wrong with turning on the oven? It means you're going to cook the kitty some nice chicken, doesn't it?

(Imagine wide innocent eyes)

Well, doesn't it?

Word verification: exfxwjbg -- now, that wasn't fun to type

Ebony McKenna. said...

I got dumped in the Helvetica bin as well.

...

Two fonts walk into a pub and the barman says, 'get out, we don't serve your type in here'.

Loren said...

I am CONTRARY and I like me that way. :) Hello, by the way.
