Thanks, Janet. I immediately put a post on my blog to her article, found the Obama speech and linked to that where there is a copy of the photo, and put in a thank you to you as well.

Viral blogger at work!

And yes, I watched the entire Meet the Press program on the net this afternoon. Powell still has draw power. Pity he leaned the wrong way when he left the army. He coulda been where Barack is now in 2004 and he would have won.

Janet, I know it's a lot to ask, but I hope you agree with me that there's not much time left. Your author, Eric Stone, writes some of the best political posts on his blog, Meanderings, that a person could hope to read. I linked to a couple of his posts in my blog -- Me and Obama's Mama, and Why Bristol Palin's Pregnancy is Relevant. Unfortunately, I just discovered the link to Me and Obama's Mama is no longer good. There may still be some voters out there who are undecided, and I know, living in the South as I do, that there are a lot of voters who like Obama, but won't vote for him because he's "a black man"; never mind that he's half white. Eric's post about Obama's mama might enlighten anyone still sitting on the fence undecided, and ultimately add to the votes needed to bring a change to our country for the next 4 - 8 years. So, what I'm asking is if you would post a copy of Me and Obama's Mama in your blog, if Eric is willing. I asked someone I considered to be an educated, informed person recently if they had any idea what Obama's mama did for a living. I cringed when he said, "she cleaned houses or something, didn't she?" Aaaaargh! I think her background is extremely important in understanding her son and what we can expect from him. How about it? Are y'all willing?
