Yay! Books in the mail!

Some very glad tidings arrived in the mail today!

First, Roberta Isleib has a new one coming and she was kind enough to send it to me. This is her third outing in the Advice Column series. I've been a Roberta Isleib fan from day one, back in her golf tour series, and I never miss a chance to nag her about bringing Cassie back, but I'm growing quite fond of Rebecca too. I'm such a curmudgeon about series characters!

Second, someone stole my copy of Brett Battles The Cleaner a while back, so I had to buy a new copy. If you haven't met Jonathan QuistQuinn (Jonathan Quist is a friend on the DorothyL list; talk about branding success!) yet, you'll thank me for giving you the heads up. Brett is one of the funniest guys I've ever met, and hanging out with him, Robert Gregory Browne (Kiss Her Goodbye) and Bill Cameron (you know Bill, he's the guy looking happy in that previous post!) at the MWA party at BEA will remain the highlight of the week. Naomi Hirahara lent some grace and style to our quartet. I'm not sure she wants it to be known she was with us that night!

Now I have a nice stack of yummy things to read. Of course, that's AFTER I dive into all the revisions and submissions that have been slithering past the snake guarding my in box.

Just in case you think I'm kidding, that's the in-box on top of the stackables:

I love the snake. It's getting so I'm starting to look forward to seeing the snake at his desk. I have a small stuffed lobster, but I can't get her to do a thing. Lazy. Next conference you go to, can you bring the snake?

I'm sure your new assistant likes her privacy, but can you share her name?
