If you're on aol

I get a lot of bounce backs from aol when I reply to your queries.
I resend, and sometimes they go through.
Today it didn't.

If you don't hear back from agents that might be one of the reasons.

This scares me. I haven't started querying (can't stop editing my query letter), but when I do I'm going with the good ol' USPS. The idea of receiving no response at all makes me twitch.

Just try not to think about things getting lost in the mail... because that happens, too. =)

I'm on aol, and I get tons of bouncebacks from comcast. I guess it's just one of those weird things.

Emails are good if you are looking for quick feedback or a reality check. It usually doesn't take much for me to start another revision. Anyway I really admire agents who respond to queries. I'll be sending out my fiction query in a few weeks, but I can't seem to find an email program that allows much control over the formatting. I don't want the lines all chopped up with a bunch of junk formatting like don#t … I really can't believe how much we put on the line with a query.

Thanks for letting us know, Janet. All those book offers I might have missed! From now on, I'm using my gmail account. Without fail, it always forwards to my aol. Who else but you would post such a hot tidbit on a Saturday night?

Janet, I just had a lengthy talk with AOL. They're currently having an issue receiving emails with anything mentioning blogspot.com or blogger but it should be resolved within 24 hours.

So glad I stumbled upon your blog!

My aol email has been doing odd things for weeks now, and I thought it was only my INCOMING mail that might have been affected!
