Why I LOVE my job...reason #24

Cause clients know what kinds of things to send me when we ink a deal.
Yowza!

Think maybe you can get us an endorsement deal? At least sponsorship.

Ah, Tha Macallan is sooooo good. Of course, I can't tell the difference between the 12 year and the 18 year, so 12 is just right.

KEEP that client.

Strangely, perhaps, I prefer the 12 to the 18. If, however, I could afford the 25, it would be all that I would ever drink. I'd even give up water.

So, I looked up the price to the 25. Clearly we need a film deal for Ray Sharp (and soon!) so we can indulge ourselves in it.

Sheesh!!! A bottle of that is seven months of subway rides!

Or two weeks of car-driving.

How does one know what to send their agent in the inking a deal case if say...they're agent doesn't have a blog where they give out this kind of info?

Macallan's is never the wrong thing to send.

Well, ok, if your agent is a friend of Bill W, yes, it's wrong.

Should that be the case, you send the Macallan to ME, and I hand deliver flowers and a nice card to your agent, and then drink to his/her health.

Macallan is the stuff God keeps in her hipflask.

That's some lovely deal you inked!

This post would have been great in October when I was trying to figure out what to send. Making a note of it for next time...

Especially the part about the 25, as motivation to make a crapload of money on something. ('Cause, you know, I don't already have enough motivation toward that goal...)

Macallan is lovely.

But my personal favorites are Oban 14 and Caol Ila (unchillfiltered, if I can get it).

Actually, my current fave is Talisker 18 year old, but it wasn't that big a contract.

Oooooohhhhhh. Lucky you!

I'm a Chivas Regal gal. My husband is a single malt guy, The Glenlivet. (Remember, my father in law was with Seagrams for 40+ years.) We're still loyal to their old brands even though the company is long gone. In a "Pinch" I'd sidle up to those bottles in a heartbeat though!

Silly story - when I was a senior at BC (where I drank beer and grape Kool Aid with grain alcohol in it) I poured myself a glass of scotch, neat, during Thanksgiving dinner at my parents. My Mom looked at me askance. And I explained I was practicing for when I graduated and would have business lunches. I was serious. I thought I should learn to drink Scotch. What a dingbat! I went into advertising and every Friday the fridges in the corner offices opened up and out came the beers. Hey, it was the 80's, Miles Dentrell and all that - Friday drinks happened.
