I love this

I found it here
and the artist Melinda Beavers is here.

This should be a greeting card and a calendar. Hell, I should have them made up into notecards for rejection letters. hmmmm....

Ohhhh, scary. I always suspected that was where my query letters went.

I think I only have an agent now because he wrestled a query away from his hungry dinosaur.

I want an agent-eating dinosaur.

I think it's a great idea for a card. And you could have printed inside: Thanks, but not right for me. Just make sure the card fits into an SASE. And for email rejects, you could use it as your default response. Very cool. Do it, Janet!

What an adorable dinosaur! I like kyler's idea for making it into a card that would fit into SASE and as an email rejection (with proper artist approval, of course). Perhaps printed on business card size cards? They would fit easily into SASE's as well as a myriad of other places.

How would I feed about getting one? I would hope I could laugh, but I guess I'll just have to submit and see.

Would it be wrong to submit and get accepted by you and be disappointed I didn't get my cute rejection? Do you want to be known as the agent whose rejections are coveted? (Would that be a good thing?)

Oops. I looked at the links after commenting. The cute little guy is already taken.

You know, seeing that little guy almost makes it okay that so many of my queries and submissions end up never making it anywhere. Feeding the cute dinosaur is nearly as satisfying as making money as a writer.

Janet, I think fans of your writers are up to no good. I was in my local Borders and I found copies of The Electric Church in four different sections of the store. (Not limited to, but including the Christian Fiction section which was a good laugh for my husband and I.)

Hee hee, what a little cutie the dinosaur is. It reminds me of a comic strip joke (Far Side?)with the little baby dinosaur saying he loves words so much he wants to grow up to be a thesaurus.

*groan*

lol, that is a great image. At least the mounds of paper are being put to good use. :D

There's a new trend--agents only responding if they are interested. I guess they feed the queries they are not interested in to their pet dinosaurs.
